As you all know, I will not be in class Monday-Thursday of this week as I accompany a group of our seniors to the Unified Auditions for collegiate acting and musical theater programs. Not to worry! You have plenty to work on in my absence!
Below is a breakdown of how the week will look:
INTRO
On Monday, you will be allowed to split time between rehearsing your scenes and preparing your audition material for our next drama department production. On Tuesday, Mr. Adams will be holding auditions in class. If you have chosen not to audition, you may use this time to continue rehearsing your scene, which you will also rehearse on Wednesday and Thursday (with final performances fast-approaching, I strongly encourage you to utilize this rehearsal time well). When I return on Friday, we will resume individual coaching sessions for your scenes.
DRAMA 3
On Monday, you will be allowed to split time between rehearsing your film/TV scenes (if you have not yet taped your scene in class), your mock film/TV audition material (provided in class on Friday) and preparing your audition material for our next drama department production. On Tuesday, Mr. Adams will be holding auditions in class. If you have chosen not to audition, you may use this time to continue rehearsing your scenes/mock film/TV material, which you will also rehearse on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday - though I will have returned to class - you will have a voice master class with our guest instructor (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
Congratulations to the cast and crew of Sister Act! Your work was fantastic, as always!
Have a great week, everybody! I'll miss being in class with you this week, though I am honored to be a part of the college audition process and to assist our seniors in this very important step in their lives. I wish many broken legs to everyone auditioning - both for collegiate programs and for our next play!
