First, I want to wish broken legs to the cast and crew of the upcoming CCCEPA production of Sister Act! Performances are this Thursday-Sunday, 2/1-2/4, at the Jennie T. Anderson Theater. Tickets can be purchased at cccepa.com.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
With the exception of a few remaining first performances of scenes in 2nd and 4th blocks (which we will complete on Monday), this week will be devoted to individual coaching sessions in class. You won't have to prepare anything new for this exercise, nor will the coaching sessions be for an individual grade - this work is simply to help you all as you prepare for final performances. All you need to do is make sure that your lines are memorized and that you are working to incorporate the notes you received during your first performance of your scene.
DRAMA 3
This week we'll be exploring a variety of topics. On Monday we'll be holding our headshot/resume workshop (please make sure you have digital access to both, if you have them) as well as discussing how to go about getting an agent or manager. Tuesday we'll be joined via Skype by two of my industry contacts in Los Angeles for a remote master class, and Thursday you'll have another voice master class with our guest instructor (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day). This means that only Wednesday and Friday of this week will be devoted to continuing our work with shooting your film/TV scenes and reviewing the footage in class.
Have a great week, everybody!
