Here's a quick look at what we'll be doing in class this week:
DRAMA 1
Now that we've finished our mock auditions, we'll move back into our typical rotation of taping scenes and reviewing the footage. We'll start taping our next scene on Monday. Remember that if you have not yet taped your scene, you should have your lines memorized at this point, and arrive to class with two hard copies of your script.
DRAMA 2
On Monday and Tuesday, you will work with your groups on composing your children's theater scripts. By mid-week, we should be able to start reviewing the scripts and making revisions. By Friday, I hope for us to be able to begin in-class rehearsals of your children's theater pieces.
DRAMA 3
We will meet with Mr. Sager's AP Language class every day this week except for Wednesday in order to work on your filmmaking PBL. We will be providing you with much more information on Monday. On Wednesday, you will have your weekly voice class with Ms. Cook, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day.
DRAMA 4
We will begin your next round of college research presentations on Monday and I suspect those will take us through the first half of class on Wednesday. Don't forget that your previous (third) research document should be posted to the blog by Monday. I would like to delay the next round of new monologue performances originally schedule for this Friday, and instead I would like to spend the remainder of the week on in-class coaching sessions on the monologues you've already performed, so start reviewing those lines if necessary.
A REMINDER TO SENIORS AUDITIONING FOR BFA ACTING AND MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAMS: Now that The Great Gatsby has closed (great job, everyone!) I am now available for coaching sessions after school in addition to morning sessions before first block. The time to start this sort of work on your college auditions is now!
