I hope that by the time you're reading this you've all had a fun, restful and safe break!
This weekend (Friday, 10/4-Sunday, 10/6), ComPAny will be performing at the Jennie T. Anderson Theater, including an open house for perspective students after the performance on Friday night. I hope to see you all there!
Next Monday, 10/7, auditions will be held after school for both musicals and the drama department production of 1984. Mr. Timmerman sent out a PA-wide Remind message with a link to sign up, which must be completed no later than Friday, 10/4 at 4:30 pm. In keeping with tradition, all drama class will combine this Tuesday, 10/1 for an introduction to the show and the audition material.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
DRAMA 1
On Monday and Wednesday you'll rehearse your sitcom scenes. On Thursday and Friday we'll tape scenes and review the footage in class.
DRAMA 2
On Monday we'll continue coaching your children's theater pieces and Wednesday we'll rehearse. Final in-class performances will be on Thursday. My hope is that you'll also be able to perform them in 5th period next week (schedule TBA). On Friday, we'll start an introduction to clowning!
DRAMA 4
On Monday we'll be joined by representatives from the University of Michigan! On Wednesday we'll continue college research presentations. On Thursday we'll be joined by PHS guidance counselor Patrick Burch for a special workshop on college applications and scholarships. On Friday you'll perform your third class monologue.
Have a great week, everybody!
