We've made it to May! By the end of this month we'll be on summer vacation! Before the days spent sleeping till noon and lounging poolside begin, however, we have a lot of work to do. Here's what you can expect this week:
INTRO:
We still have a good few first performances of monologues to see in 2nd block, but otherwise this week in Intro will be devoted to individual coaching sessions for monologues. I don't want to put an exact timetable on the work because I want each student to receive exactly as much or as little coaching as necessary, but I suspect this work will take us the entire week, and will likely continue into the following week. If we finish early, however, you'll start receiving rehearsal time late in the week in preparation for final performances.
DRAMA 3:
This week will be largely devoted to movement work. We will continue with the contact improvisation work and will also explore some physical character building exercises. You will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day this week. The one departure from this schedule will be on Thursday, when we'll have a screening of your short films! (If you wish to bring popcorn, I will allow it...).
Finally, the CCCEPA production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE will run this week, Friday 5/5-Sunday 5/7 (with two performances on Saturday) at the Jennie T. Anderson Theater. Tickets are available online at cccepa.com. This show is going to be outstanding! Don't miss it! Break a leg, cast and crew and have a great week, everybody!
