It's the last week of school before our February break! We've all been working very hard and I'm sure a week off will do us good. Let's have a productive week of classes and then enjoy our rest!
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
Because of the different sizes of the three Intro classes, the schedule may vary slightly this week depending on which period you're in. The flow will be the same in each section: finish individual scene coaching sessions to start the week, rehearse your scene with your partner and then present final performances (likely Thursday and Friday). If I see that any one section of Intro is running massively ahead or behind this schedule, I will note the changes on this site in addition to discussing those changes in class.
DRAMA 3
On Monday we'll conclude work on our first round of mock film/TV auditions, review the footage in class and then "cast" the roles via class vote. On Tuesday we'll have a very special master class with a guest who is a well-established professional director. The remainder of the week will be devoted to continuing the process of taping your film/TV scenes and reviewing the footage. As always: if you have not yet taped your scene in class, please make sure you are arriving to class every day with your scenes memorized and blocked, and please also have two hard copies of your script.
Have a great week, everybody, and a terrific break!
