I hope you've enjoyed this impromptu vacation! Now that we've had some unexpected time to rest and relax I'm anxious to get back down to business and I hope you are, too.
I want to point out to you all that the PTSA Open House is this Wednesday evening, 1/24. I will be in attendance and look forward to answering any questions you or your families may have about class.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
On Monday we will finally begin first performances of your scenes! I hope you have utilized this extra time to study your lines and continue preparing. You'll have a few minutes at the beginning of class to run your lines and then we'll jump right into performances. We'll be watching each scene in class and providing feedback, and I suspect it will take us at least until Wednesday to finish seeing first performances - likely longer. Once first performances are complete, we will move on to individual coaching sessions.
DRAMA 3
On Monday we'll start shooting our next scene, and once it is completed we'll review the footage in class. We'll continue that pattern throughout the week - shooting and reviewing scenes - however we will be joined by a guest instructor for a voice master class one day next week (specific details to follow in class). At this point, all students should be arriving to class every day with lines memorized, scenes blocked and two hard copies of your script (with the exception of those students with whom I have made arrangements for additional rehearsal time due to absence).
Have a great week, everybody!
