With auditions for the fall drama department production now in the books, this week will be devoted to our normal course of business in all classes. Here's your weekly outline of what to expect:
DRAMA 1
We're now off and running with the process of taping your film/TV scenes. We will continue the flow of taping a scene in class and then reviewing the footage and providing feedback, with all students serving on the camera crew for other students' scenes. Remember: if you have not yet taped your scene in class, you should be arriving every day with your scene memorized and two hard copies of your script!
DRAMA 2
We'll start the week by concluding performances of the first half of the True West scene. Once all students have had the opportunity to perform the first half of the scene (likely by the end of class on Tuesday), you'll have the remainder of the week to rehearse for performances of the full scene, which will begin at the start of next week.
DRAMA 4
We'll start the week by concluding round one of your college research presentations. Your first presentation will need to be posted to our class blog no later than Friday, 8/23 (instructions provided in class). Once we have completed those presentations, we will resume the process of reviewing potential monologue selections for the remainder of the week (including Shakespeare!). It is important that every student in class have at least one approved monologue selection by the end of the week, as I'd like to hold our first round of performances on Monday, 8/26.
Have a great week, everybody!
