First of all, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the fact that I was out most of last week following my father's unexpected passing. I want to thank you all for the love, prayers and support you have directed at me and my family. You have helped us more than you know.
We still have a lot to accomplished before the end of the school year and I'm anxious to get back to business. Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
In 1st and 4th periods we will begin final performances of monologues at the beginning of the week, and we will then move on to the mock cold reading exercise (I will be providing you with audition material in class). In 2nd period, you will spend Monday and Tuesday rehearsing your movement pieces, which you will perform on Wednesday and Thursday. We will then begin final performances of monologues on Friday.
DRAMA 3
I'd like to spend this week delving into some movement work, including a character building exercise I've been saving for this point in the semester. You will also be allowed time to put finishing touches on your short films (if necessary) and will have a voice master class (likely on Thursday). It might be wise to bring/wear clothes in which you can comfortably move for the duration of this week.
Have a great week, everybody!
