We have several special events of note this week. This Tuesday, 4/16 at 7:30, the vocal department will be holding their final concert of the school year. Friday, 4/19 the Changing of the Chairs ceremony will be held for juniors and seniors. This will affect 1st block as there will be no first block class on Friday and on Thursday, my class will accompany me to a rehearsal for the ceremony (Mr. Adams and I are traditionally the announcers for this event and for graduation). On Saturday, 4/20, there will be a "Navigating the College Audition Process" workshop at school, and I'm looking forward to helping rising seniors and juniors (and their parents) prepare for what is to come.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
We will continue movement work this week in 1st block - turning our attention to the preparation of movement pieces (details to follow in class). In 2nd and 4th blocks - where juries took longer than expected - our final performances of class monologues will spill into the beginning of this week, and then we'll begin movement work in both classes. Any day that we are dealing with movement work in class, please make sure that you bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes.
DRAMA 3
Monday-Wednesday of this week you'll continue working on your short film project. The goal is to wrap all in-class taping by Wednesday. We will then begin the process of selecting and rehearsing theater scenes on Thursday and Friday.
Have a great week, everybody!
