These last two weeks before spring break are jam packed! Next week (the week of 3/25) we'll be holding juries in class for all freshmen, sophomores and juniors currently enrolled in drama classes. That same week, the drama department production of The Amen Corner will perform in the black box (tickets are $10 and available at cccepa.com).
This Thursday, 3/21, we'll be holding our new student open house at 7:30 pm in the Reese Theater. I'd love to see current students there to help make our incoming students feel welcome.
Also, prom will be this Friday night, and I hope everyone who is going has a fun and safe time!
Here's your weekly of outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
In first block, we're nearly ready to move on to final performances of class monologues. You'll have in-class rehearsal time at the beginning of the week, and then we'll begin those final performances. In 2nd and 4th blocks, this week will be entirely devoted to individual monologue coaching sessions.
DRAMA 3
We'll continue the process of taping scenes and reviewing footage on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, but mid-week we'll shift gears and spend a couple of days working on the mock commercial audition material I provided to you on Friday. We'll tape your auditions on Wednesday and then review the footage in class on Thursday, "casting" the roles via anonymous class vote as we did with your mock film/TV auditions.
Have a great week, everybody!
