First, I'd like to remind you all that this Wednesday will be an early release day. Students will be released at approximately 11:30 am. Please plan accordingly.
Break a leg to the cast and crew of Murder on the Nile! Performances are this Friday-Sunday (3/16-3/18) and tickets are available at cccepa.com. I'm looking forward to seeing both casts!
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
2nd period still needs to complete final performances of scenes (which will begin on Monday), but we have otherwise moved on to monologue work. First period will present first performances beginning on Monday and 4th period should be doing the same by Wednesday. 2nd period will begin searching for monologues in class once final scene performances are finished. Following first performances of monologues, we will hold (very brief) coaching sessions in class. Don't forget that freshmen, sophomores and juniors will also need a second monologue for juries!
DRAMA 3
As we discussed in class, we will review the footage from your mock auditions on Monday. Wednesday and Friday will be devoted to shooting film/TV scenes and reviewing the footage. On Tuesday you'll have your voice master class with Ms. Mewbron (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day) and on Thursday we'll be joined by a group of students from the theater department at The University of West Georgia (we'll be combining with Drama 4 in the black box that day).
Have a great week, everybody!
