By the time you're reading this, hopefully you've had a wonderful break and are feeling rested and rejuvenated. We'll get right back down to business this week, as outlined below:
INTRO
In 1st block we have fully moved on to monologue work, while in 2nd and 4th blocks we still have some scene work to complete. As we move on to monologues, each class will first receive time in class to search for monologues, then time to rehearse, and then we will begin first performances. With juries coming up later in March, don't forget that if you are a freshman, sophomore or junior, you are actually looking for two monologues - one for class and one for juries (seniors are exempt from juries and need only find a monologue for performance in class). 1st block will begin the week with some rehearsal time, and then we'll begin first performances of class monologues. In 2nd and 4th blocks, we'll start the week with any remaining scene coaching sessions, then you'll have a little time to rehearse with your partner(s) in preparation for final scene performances, which will happen late this week.
DRAMA 3
This week will be devoted to continuing work on your film/TV scenes. As always: if you have not yet taped your scene in class, please make sure you are arriving to class every day prepared to tape your scene, and please also make sure that your group has two hard copies of your script. If your scene does not tape this week, you will continue serving on the camera crew for other students' scenes.
Have a great week, everybody!
