Only one more week of school before our week-long February break!
Here's an outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
At this point - due to the widely-ranging number of students in each Intro class - the three sections of Intro are working at different paces. In 1st block - where there are only 18 students - all students have finished their individual scene coaching sessions, meaning we’ll be able to hold final performances early this week. In 2nd and 4th blocks - where there are more than 30 students in each class - we still have quite a few individual scene coaching sessions to complete prior to moving on to final performances. In each class - once scene work has been completed - we’ll turn our focus to monologue work. What this all means is that 1st block will begin monologue work by mid-week, while 2nd and 4th blocks should be getting ready for final scene performances late this week or early the week after the break (the week of 2/25).
DRAMA 3
On Monday we'll complete work on your mock film/TV auditions by taping any remaining auditions, then we'll review the footage in class and "cast" the roles via anonymous class vote. For the remainder of the week, we'll resume the process of taping you film/TV scenes and reviewing the footage in class. As always, I just want to remind you that if you have not yet taped your scene in class you should be arriving to class every day prepared to perform your scene, and your group should have two hard copies of your script.
Have a great week, everybody, and an even better week off!
