Only two full weeks left in the semester! We'll spend a little time in all classes this week doing some initial final exam review, though we still have plenty to accomplish before we get to finals. Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
DRAMA 1
Since we weren't able to watch your short films on Friday we'll kick things off by watching them in class on Monday, and then the week will be entirely devoted to movement work. We'll continue some general in-class exercises at the beginning of the week, and then we'll move on to movement pieces. You'll have time in class to create/rehearse your pieces, and then we'll start performances late in the week. You should plan to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day.
DRAMA 2
We'll start the week with a little additional rehearsal time on your classical scenes, and then we'll start first performances by Tuesday. Once everyone has performed, we will start short coaching sessions for each scene to begin getting you ready for final performances.
DRAMA 4
We'll start off on Monday by finishing our work on your mock TV auditions, and then the week will be entirely devoted to your original theater pieces. You'll have Monday-Wednesday to create/rehearse your pieces, and then we'll start seeing performances on Thursday. With that being said, I expect this process to be somewhat fluid, so if we need to add an extra preparation day on Thursday and begin performances on Friday, we will (stay tuned).
Have a great week, everybody!
