I hope you're all excited for our first full FIVE day week of class (assuming we don't get any more 45 degree snow days...).
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO:
We will continue first performances of scenes for the majority of this week. If you have not yet performed, please make sure that you have studied your lines and that your scenes are blocked. Once first performances are complete, we will move on to individual coaching sessions. This work can be admittedly tedious but I assure that if you are all focused and active participants in the work, everyone will benefit. If I feel that the scenes require it, I will first allow some additional rehearsal time in advance of the coaching sessions, but I want to wait until we've completed all first performances before making that call.
DRAMA 3:
On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday we will be shooting scenes and reviewing footage in class. Since we collectively agreed that the class needed one extra rehearsal day, Monday will mark the beginning of our first film/TV scene. This will be the general flow of class in the coming weeks: tape a scene and then review the footage in class, providing commentary. Please make sure that you are arriving to class with your scenes blocked and memorized, and also with two hard copies of your script. Remember, too, that you will be serving on the "camera crew" for other students' scenes. The one exception to this schedule this week will be on Thursday (instead of Wednesday) when you will have your weekly master class with Ms. Kajese.
Have a great week, everybody!
