The last full week of the semester has turned out to be a short week! I hope you've all enjoyed the snow and the miniature vacation, and that you've all stayed safe.
As you might imagine, the lost time will cause us to adjust our schedule for performances leading up to finals. Everything you need to know is outlined below:
DRAMA 1
This week we'll be working on your original performance pieces. Tuesday-Thursday you'll be able to develop and rehearse your piece with your group, and then we'll see performances in class on Friday and on Monday of next week. If for any reason you are absent this week please check with the members of your group to make sure you're staying up-to-speed.
DRAMA 2
We'll start the week by seeing the remaining first performances of your classical scenes. Due to the time lost to school cancellation, however, we will have to forego any in-class coaching of scenes. Instead, you'll be allowed rehearsal time once first performances are complete, with your goal being to incorporate the notes from your first performance. Final performances will now occur on Friday and Monday of next week. 2nd block will have a master class with a guest instructor on Wednesday, so please dress accordingly.
DRAMA 4
We'll start the week by seeing your original performance pieces in the black box on Tuesday. Since we've managed to run ahead of schedule this semester and we're now essentially working with bonus time, I'd like to spend the remainder of the week briefly venturing back into voice and movement work. You will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes for this work (I'll remind you in class).
Have a great week, everybody!
