Happy Halloween! I'm so excited for the week of classes I have planned for you all that it's scary (see what I did there?).
As of right now, I am still planning to hold callbacks for 1984 next week (the week of 11/4 - more specifically Wednesday, 11/6 and Thursday, 11/7.), however that is subject to change. Stay tuned.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
DRAMA 1
We'll start the week with first performances of your theater scenes. We should be able to complete those performances by Wednesday, and then we'll begin individual scene coaching sessions. We'll pause coaching sessions on Thursday (Halloween day!) in order to screen your short films(!) and then resume coaching sessions for the remainder of the week.
DRAMA 2
You'll perform your clown shows in class on Monday and Tuesday. Those performances will mark the end of our clowning work, so we will then shift gears entirely and begin our unit on writing monologues. Wednesday will serve as an introduction to the work we'll be doing, and then you'll be allowed class time on Thursday and Friday to work on the first draft of the monologue you'll be writing.
DRAMA 4
This week will be devoted to your stretch material scenes. Monday-Thursday will be allocated to finalizing your selections and rehearsing your scenes, and then we'll begin first performances on Friday.
Have a frighteningly good week, everybody!
