As we conclude our spring break and return to digital learning platforms, a lot has changed - in terms of schedule and grades. I can only imagine that you still have questions, and I will be speaking with individual class in the next two days to answer those questions as they pertain to my classes. Above all, my message to you is this: stick with school.
By now you've all heard that your grade in any class cannot be lower than it was on March 13. That being said - even if you have straight A's - there is still work to be done. I assure you that I will be here every day, striving to provide you with materials and instruction that will continue to serve your training. Even if you don't have a grade on the line, you have personal growth to make, and it is my intention and the intention of your other instructors to help you continue that growth in the face of these incredibly unfortunate circumstances. Also, if you have less than an A in any class, you should UNQUESTIONABLY be taking advantage of the opportunity to raise your grade without the possibility of lowering it.
This pandemic is temporary. Your education is yours for life. Your GPA isn't going anywhere, either. Stick with school.
As part of our new schedule, I will be meeting with 1st and 2nd block classes tomorrow and 3rd and 4th block classes on Tuesday via Zoom. I will be sending the codes for those meetings via Remind. The schedule for meetings will be:
Monday, 4/13
1st Block Intro - 10:00-11:00
2nd Block Intro - 1:00-2:00
Tuesday, 4/14
Drama 3 - 10:00-11:00
4th Block Intro - 1:00-2:00
I hope you've all had a nice break, and more importantly that you and your families are staying safe and well. We are going to get through this, and we are going to continue to accomplish good things in the process.
