With the school year drawing to a close (this is our last full week of classes!), there is a lot going on. This week will be packed with after school activities: PHS Awards Night on Monday, the Sensational Seniors program on Tuesday, Drama 3 and Drama 4 projects on Wednesday and the PA Awards on Friday.
Seniors will take their final exams this week! 3rd and 4th block exams will be administered on Monday (5/13) and 1st and 2nd block exams will be Tuesday (5/14), at which point seniors will be released early!
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
1st block will present their original performances pieces on Monday, and then we'll spend the remainder of the week revisiting voice and movement exercises. 2nd block will complete the mock callback exercise for most of the week, and any remaining time will be devoted to voice work. 4th block will prepare original performance pieces to be performed late in the week (details provided in class).
DRAMA 3
With seniors completing the course this Monday - accounting for approximately half the class - this week seems like a great time for the juniors in class to get ahead of the game with regard to gathering audition material for next year's Drama 4 class/college auditions, so we will spend the entire week reviewing potential monologue selections in class (I believe getting an early jump on this work will pay big dividends in the fall, so please do your best to bring multiple options to the table this week).
Have a great week, everybody, and I wish the very best to the class of 2019!
