DRAMA 1
We'll get back down to business right away on rehearsing your theater scenes. On Monday you'll be allowed time to rehearse on your own and refresh you memory following the break, and then we'll see all of the scenes performed in class on Tuesday. Wednesday will be another rehearsal day and then on Thursday and Friday we'll work through the scenes more slowly, giving notes as we go.
DRAMA 2
We'll start on Monday with some rehearsal time on your scenes and then we'll start looking at first performances, which will continue on Tuesday. On Wednesday you'll be allowed some additional rehearsal time and then on Thursday and Friday we'll start the process of individual coaching sessions.
DRAMA 3
We'll be diving right back into our movement exercises, and since you'll also be having voice class with Ms. Cook on Wednesday, you'll need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day this week. We'll continue some contact improvisation exercises early in the week but as I mentioned in class I would like to start adding text to the process, so please make sure you have a scene or monologue memorized. It can absolutely be your film/TV scene or a monologue you've used in class before.
DRAMA 4
We will spend most of this week continuing the individual coaching sessions of your stretch material scenes. The exception will be on Wednesday when you are allowed additional rehearsal time while I tape GHP pre-screen videos for our performing arts students in all disciplines. I suspect will finish the coaching sessions by Friday, at which time you will be allowed further rehearsal time to apply the notes and direction you've received in class.
Have a great week, everyone! Only three weeks left in the semester!
