Only one more week of classes before our week-long winter break!
This week will begin with callbacks for the drama department production of Murder on the Nile, which will occur in all drama classes. As Mr. Adams is directing this show I can't speak for him regarding how long the process will take, but I suspect callbacks will be completed no later than Wednesday. Here's a look at what else you can expect in class this week:
INTRO
Once callbacks are completed, we'll resume our work on individual coaching sessions for your scenes. After all scenes have been coached in class, you'll have a day to rehearse in preparation for final performances (in all likelihood, we will not be moving on to rehearsals or final performances until the week after our break).
DRAMA 3
This will be a bit of an usual week, filled with callbacks and master classes. Once callbacks are completed, we'll have a musical theater master class with Shuler Hensley on Wednesday. On Thursday you'll have another guest master class (don't forget that this is the day you'll be presenting the interview assignment provided by Ms. Mewbron). On Friday we will will be joined by representatives from NYFA, who will ALSO be leading a master class. This means your mock auditions and the continuation of shooting and reviewing scenes in class will have to wait until the week after the break.
Congratulations to everyone involved with the Black History Month program. I saw all three performances during the school day on Friday and they were fantastic. Thank you for using your incredible talents for such an important purpose.
Have a great week and a fantastic break, everybody!
