I'd like to start by wishing many broken legs to the cast and crew of Legally Blonde! Performances are this Thursday-Sunday, 1/31-2/3, at the Jennie T. Anderson theater. I'm to understand the ENTIRE run of the show is sold out, but I am also to understand there is a waiting list for tickets if you call the Jennie T. Anderson box office, so if you missed out on tickets you may wish to give them a call. I'm looking forward to seeing the show!
I'd also like to say how impressed I was by the work of our students during the callbacks for The Amen Corner. I saw so much incredible talent on display and the process of casting the show has proven incredibly difficult as a result. No single cast list could ever reflect the number of deserving students in this program. I'm proud of your work and hope that you are, too.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
In first block, we have completed first performances of scenes and have moved on to individual coaching sessions, which will continue all this week. In 2nd and 4th blocks, we will complete first performances this week and then move on to coaching sessions. By this point, everyone should have their scenes memorized and blocked and should be ready to perform in class!
DRAMA 3
This week we will be fully devoted to the process of taping and reviewing your film/TV scenes. Remember that if you have not yet taped your scene in class you should be arriving every day with your scenes memorized and blocked, and your group should have two hard copies of your script. This Friday, I will provide you with mock film/TV audition material which you will prepare early next week and then perform in class starting next Friday.
Have a great week, everybody!
