By the time you're reading this, I hope you've all had a nice and relaxing three-day weekend (and that along the way, you've taken some time to reflect on the reasons for this extended weekend).
The PTSA Open House for this semester will be held this Tuesday, 1/22, from 6-7 pm. I will be on hand to answer any questions that parents/guardians may have and to discuss this semester's curriculum.
During our slightly-shortened week of class, I intend to hold callbacks for the drama department's upcoming production of The Amen Corner by James Baldwin. As I've mentioned in class, I expect this process to move a little quicker than some of our past callbacks, so we should still have time to continue with our regularly scheduled programming.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
INTRO
I suspect we'll only be holding callbacks during intro classes on Tuesday, which means the remainder of the week will be devoted to continuing first performances of your theater scenes. Once we have seen all first performances in class, we will move on to individual coaching sessions of each scene.
DRAMA 3
It is possible that callbacks during this period will require two days, which I anticipate will be Tuesday and Wednesday. After callbacks have been completed, we will resume working on your film and TV scenes. Remember that if you have not yet taped your scene in class you should be arriving every day with your scenes memorized and blocked, and your group should have two hard copies of your script.
Have a great week, everybody!
