First, I just want to remind you that there will be no classes this Tuesday, 11/7 due to election day.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in our slightly-shortened week of classes:
DRAMA 1
This week will be entirely devoted to working on your short films. You'll have time in class to work on your scripts (if necessary) and you'll be allowed time to shoot scenes. If you require any special equipment, props, costumes, etc., please make sure you are bringing those items with you to class.
DRAMA 2
This week we will be focused on your student-written monologues. We'll continue reviewing first drafts in class early in the week, make any necessary revisions and then begin rehearsing. We should be able to begin first performances by late in the week. The one exception to this schedule will be Wednesday in 4th block, when those students will have a master class with a guest instructor (these classes have been becoming more physical in nature, so I strongly encourage you to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
DRAMA 4
We will begin the week by finishing first performances of your stretch material scenes and then move on to individual coaching sessions. It's hard to put an exact timeline on this work as I want to spend as much time on each scene as we deem necessary. Once all scenes have been coached, you'll be allowed in-class rehearsal time to start preparing for final performances - with a focus on applying the notes and direction you received during your coaching session.
Have a great week, everybody!
