Welcome to Week 2 of digital learning! I genuinely appreciate that so many of you are working so diligently to stay caught up with your work. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS, and when we do, you'll be glad that you handled your business the right way.
If you are one of the students who have experienced technical difficulties in recording and sending your jury monologue performance, I strongly encourage you to send your video ASAP! I can't recommend wetransfer.com highly enough as a way to send large files.
Today (Monday), I'd like to utilize Zoom to have brief 30-minute video meetings with each class individually so we can touch base and make sure we're all on the same page going forward. I realize that not everyone has access and that your schedules with classwork are a bit muddy, but if you are able, you'll go to zoom.us (or download the app), register (if you haven't already) then go to "join a meeting" and enter the unique meeting ID for your class (I'm sending out those IDs via Remind). The times for each meeting are:
1st Period Intro - 1:30-2:00
2nd Period Intro - 2:00-2:30
Drama 3 - 2:30-3:00
4th Period Intro - 3:00-3:30
Also, don't forget about the virtual PA On Display performances starting today during regular 5th period meeting time! Mr. Timmerman has been sending out PA-wide Remind messages with information.
ASSIGNMENTS
INTRO:
This week, we'll turn our attention back to your class monologues. You will ultimately be taping those monologues but I DO NOT want you to tape them yet. Instead, I'd like you to utilize some time continuing to rehearse them - considering given circumstances and notes you've previously received. I'll provide instructions later this week for taping your monologues.
DRAMA 3:
This week, I'll be providing you with some mock film/TV audition material for you to tape at home. We'll conduct this exactly like a professional self-tape audition (which has essentially become the industry norm). However, I DO NOT want you to tape your auditions today - instead, rehearse and prepare the sides. I'll provide you with taping instructions later this week.
Have a great day!
