We've made it to the end of our second week of digital learning! I continue to applaud you for the ways you are rising to the occasion in the face of these trying circumstances.
All classes have performance videos that are due by the end of the school day on Friday, 3/27. Please follow the instructions below:
INTRO:
You should now be working to tape your class monologue final performances. The videos are due Friday, 3/27 by 4:15. I STRONGLY suggest that you use wetransfer.com to send the videos (that site worked very well for us while dealing with jury monologues). Please follow these directions when taping:
-You may use your cell phone, but please record landscape (sideways) rather than portrait (upright).
-Please try to avoid taping outdoors unless you must.
-Make sure I can hear you!
-Try your best to frame between waist up and full body so I can see your physicality.
-Please slate to the camera and act looking off-camera.
-Please email your finished video to [email protected].
-If your video is too large to email, I recommend using wetransfer.com. You can email up to two GB and it's free!
DRAMA 3:
You should now be working to tape your mock on-camera auditions. The videos are due by Friday, 3/27 at 4:15. These auditions are meant to mirror the mock auditions we taped in class, following professional self-tape protocol. Please follow these directions while taping:
-You will need a reader off camera (family bonding time?) to read any and all of the other characters' lines in the scene (please let me know if this poses a problem for you).
-You should be the only person on camera.
-Make sure your reader reads more quietly than you since he/she will be closer to the microphone than you.
-I'd prefer tight (close) framing, but you may frame looser if you prefer.
-You may use your cell phone, but please record landscape (sideways) rather than portrait (upright).
-Please try to avoid taping outdoors unless you must.
-Make sure I can hear you!
-Slate your name to the camera and act looking off camera.
-Please email your finished video to [email protected].
-If your video is too large to email, I recommend using wetransfer.com. You can email up to two GB and it's free!
As always: please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns. I am available throughout the school day (not just during designated office hours).
Have a great weekend!
