DRAMA 1
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will all be devoted to rehearsing your scenes for your final performances, which will happen at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, 4/15 in the black box (tickets are $5 and are available at the door or in advance via Mr. Timmerman). Remember that on Wednesday, you should be prepared to be at school until the end of the performances. We'll put in some more rehearsal time after school, and you will also be fed dinner! On Thursday and Friday, with final scene performances completed, we'll begin our unit on movement work, so you'll need to start bringing/wearing comfortable dress out clothes those days (I will remind you in class).
DRAMA 2
This week we'll be picking up where we left off on your pieces of classical text. On Monday in 4th block, I'll allow a day of rehearsal time for you to refresh your memory on lines and blocking, but that will have to wait until Tuesday in 2nd block...since Ms. Cook wasn't able to join us last week, she will be leading two voice classes in 2nd block this week: Monday AND Wednesday (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes both days). After the initial rehearsal day, we will start more in-depth coaching work in class. Remember that you are expected to be fully off book for your scene or monologue by the time we start the coaching work (Tuesday in 4th block and Thursday in 2nd).
DRAMA 3
With only a few film/TV scenes left to shoot in class, we'll continue our rhythm of taping a scene, then reviewing the footage in class and providing feedback. However, since Ms. Cook wasn't able to join us last week, you will have two voice classes with her this week, Monday AND Wednesday (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes both days). On Tuesday we'll review the footage from the scene we finished on the last day of class before the break, and then we will move on to shooting the next. We will continue that work on Thursday and Friday. If you have not yet shot your scene in class, please have your lines memorized and hard copies of your script in hand.
DRAMA 4 (Monday and Wednesday this week)
With Ms. Cook leading two voice classes with Drama 3 this week, we'll have the opportunity to meet both Monday and Wednesday. We'll start on Monday by reviewing the footage from the multi-camera sitcom scene we shot during our last meeting, and we will move on to the next scene. We will review the footage from that scene on Wednesday and then move on to the next!
Welcome back and have a great week, everyone!
