DRAMA 1
On Monday, we will briefly shift our focus away from your theater scenes to start preparing for juries. We will meet with Mr. Adams' intro class to discuss the characteristics of a quality monologue, and you will be allowed time in class to start searching for monologues while also assisting intro students. Tuesday-Friday, we will resume coaching sessions on your theater scenes, and at a rate of two scenes per day, we should be able to finish that work this week.
DRAMA 2
Much like Drama 1, we are going to deviate from our plan on Monday to start the process of jury monologue selection. In both periods, we will meet with Mr. Adams' intro classes to discuss the characteristics of a quality monologue, and you will be allowed time in class to start searching for monologues while also assisting intro students. Your student-written monologue final performances will be moved to Tuesday. On Tuesday, you'll be allowed about 20 minutes of rehearsal time at the start of class, and then we will start seeing final performances. Any remaining final performances will spill over to Wednesday for 4th block and Thursday for 2nd, as 2nd block will have their usual voice class with Ms. Cook on Wednesday (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day). The remainder of the week will be spent, as we discussed, on delving into classical texts, and you will be allowed time to search for a scene or monologue (your choice) which you will perform later in the semester.
DRAMA 3
On Monday, we will review the footage from the scene we shot on Friday and provide feedback. We will then start shooting a new scene which we will finish and review on Tuesday. On Wednesday you'll have voice class with Ms. Cook, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. On Thursday we will start a new film/TV scene which we will review on Friday, and then start ANOTHER scene. As noted before, if you have not yet taped your scene in class, please make sure you have your lines memorized and your scene is ready to perform.
DRAMA 4 (Wednesday Only)
While Drama 3 has their voice class with Ms. Cook on Wednesday, we will meet in the white box to review the footage from the scene we shot last week and to tape our first multi-camera sitcom scene!
Have a great week, everyone!
