Hello to all of you who've been checking my blog! As always, here's a quick glimpse of what we'll be doing in class this week:
DRAMA 1
We will wrap up our final voice work monologue performances on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday, we'll spend some time looking at theater scenes for your performance later in the semester. If you've already chosen a scene or have plays you'd like to explore, please bring them with you those days. On Friday we'll start movement work, so you'll want to wear comfortable dress out clothes that day.
DRAMA 2
This week will be entirely devoted to rehearsing and coaching the monologues you've written for each other, however I will incorporate some group exercises so that you don't spend the entire week watching and critiquing other performances (though that work is of vital importance). I'd like you all off book for your monologues ASAP, preferably by Monday. The one exception to this schedule, as always, will be Wednesday in 2nd block when Ms. Cook visits to lead voice class (2nd block students should bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
DRAMA 3
Monday and Tuesday will be your last two days for in class work on your film projects for the PBL we are doing with Mr. Sager's class (to make up for the days last week when school was closed), so be sure to bring any necessary materials those days. On Wednesday you'll have your usual voice class with Ms. Cook, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. On Thursday and Friday we'll get back down to business on our in class film/TV scenes, so be sure to refresh your memory on your lines and blocking.
DRAMA 4
While Drama 3 has voice class with Ms. Cook, we will resume our film/TV work. We should have time to shoot an entire scene and then review the footage in class, offering feedback.
Have a great week, everyone!
