This is a big week! Our drama department production of Much Ado About Nothing will run this weekend in the black box with performances Thursday, 2/2 through Saturday, 2/4 at 7:30 each night, and also a Saturday matinee at 3:00. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at cccepa.com. I'm very proud of the work the students are doing on this production and hope you all can make it.
Also, at the end of this week, a large group of our seniors will be heading to Chicago to audition for BFA acting and musical theater programs at the Unified auditions. Break legs, everyone, and please remember that I am available for monologue coaching.
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class this week:
INTRO DRAMA:
This week will be entirely devoted to continuing individual scene coaching sessions, each day. The idea is to get you prepared to rehearse your scenes during the first three days of the following week in preparation for final performances at the end of that week.
DRAMA 3:
We will continue shooting scenes and reviewing footage every day with the exception of Friday, when you will have your weekly master class with Ms. Kajese. At the end of class on Thursday we will have a brief discussion of film/TV auditioning and I will provide you with mock audition material, which you will rehearse and perform the following week.
Finally, I want to remind you all about the TREMENDOUS opportunity that is being offered by Georgia Military College to take online classes for FREE. This can help create room in your schedule for a PA minor or double minor (or to CONTINUE your minor) and possibly even earn college credit. There is a meeting in the Reece Theater on Tuesday, 1/31 at 7:00 and I STRONGLY encourage you to attend and take advantage of this opportunity.
Have a great week, everybody!
