DRAMA 1
On Monday you will take your common assessment exam. We will then continue with our voice work. We'll be delving into the Fitzmaurice voice work I've been telling you about, which means you will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day this week. Please also remember that everyone will need a monologue for use with our voice work and with our future movement work, so please have one memorized ASAP. I'd like everyone to have a monologue memorized and ready to go by Friday.
DRAMA 2. On Monday you will take your common assessment exam. Then we will jump into first performances of the True West scene. Remember that you should at least have the first half of the scene memorized by Monday. Remember also that your written "given circumstances" assignment is due on Tuesday of this week. We will continue our scene work throughout this week with the exception of Wednesday in 2nd block, when you will have voice class with Ms. Cook (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
DRAMA 3
On Monday you will take your common assessment exam. We will then have a discussion of the various jobs found on professional sound stages, and we will also review scenes from those of you who didn't yet have scenes selected at the end of last week. On Tuesday we'll be having a master class in the black box with a guest. On Wednesday you'll have voice class with Ms. Cook, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. On Thursday you'll receive instructions for a written script analysis assignment you'll be completing for your film/TV scenes and you will be allowed additional rehearsal time. The plan is for us to be ready to start shooting our first on-camera scene this Friday.
DRAMA 4 (Wednesday Only)
We'll review the scripts you've selected, and we'll start shooting our first scene! I'd like every student to have a scene selected by this day.
Have a great week, everyone!
