It's the last week of school before Thanksgiving break! Let's work hard and then celebrate with a week off and too much food!
Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
DRAMA 1
We'll spend the early part of the week putting the finishing touches on your short films, and then we'll shift gears entirely and move on to a unit of voice work. This work will be somewhat physical in nature, so I encourage you to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes once we begin this work (we should be starting no later than Wednesday, but I'll keep you posted in class).
DRAMA 2
During the early portion of the week, we'll see first performances of your student-written monologues. Once those performances have been completed and everyone has received feedback, you'll be allowed some time to rehearse monologues in class and apply the notes from your first performance. We will then start seeing final performances late in the week. The one exception to this schedule will be Wednesday in 2nd block, when those students will have a master class with a guest instructor (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
DRAMA 4
We will begin the week by concluding individual coaching sessions for your stretch material scenes. I suspect we'll finish that work on Tuesday, and then you'll be allowed in-class rehearsal time on Wednesday to incorporate the notes and direction from your coaching session. We will then see final performances of your stretch material scenes on Thursday and Friday.
Have a great week, everybody, and have a very happy Thanksgiving! Eat lots of Turkey (or tofu, if you're into that kind of thing)!
