DRAMA 1
We're off and running with our film and TV unit. Remember, you need to bring in a scene on Monday to read in class. Hopefully, I'll be able to approve everyone's scenes on Monday and we can move on to rehearsals. I will allow rehearsal time on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the hope that we can devote Thursday and Friday to shooting our first scene!
Drama 2
We will be continuing our clowning work all week long.
2nd block: On Monday we will start with our "clown dances," and you will be allowed rehearsal time in class. Hopefully we can begin seeing your dances on Tuesday. Wednesday will be a voice class with Ms. Cook, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. On Thursday and Friday, we will continue with further clowning exercises.
4th block: On Monday we will finally see your "impossible tasks," and then on Tuesday, we should be able to begin with "clown dances," (we'll get into the specifics for this assignment that day) for which you will be allowed rehearsal time in class. On Wednesday, we will meet in the black box, as Ms. Forbes' class provides us with poetry performances, which Mr. Adams and I will judge. On Thursday, you should be able to present your dances and we will continue clowning exercises on Friday.
DRAMA 4
On Monday and Tuesday we will continue our college research work. I will also hear pieces from students who STILL don't have four approved monologues. On Wednesday, we will see our third round of monologue performances. On Thursday, we will put in more time on our college research, which will hopefully be the last day of working through schools on our board. At that time, I will assign the schools we placed a box around (schools for which we didn't feel we had enough information) to individual students for further research. On Friday, we'll have our three station rotation alongside Drama 3 with Mr. Adams working classical monologues, Mr. D'Haviland working songs and me coaching contemporary monologues.
Have a good week, everyone!
