Happy Halloween! We're going to be scary busy this week (sorry, I know that was bad...but it's true), both in class and in preparation for Showcase(!) which will perform this Saturday and Sunday (tickets are available at cccepa.com).
As we prepare for Showcase, there may be some pieces rehearsing periodically in class - making this week a little harder-than-usual to project. With that in mind, the weekly outline below is subject to change:
DRAMA 1
We'll begin the week by completing our search for theater scenes, and then I'd like to screen your short films in class on Wednesday. For the remainder of the week, you'll have time to rehearse your theater scenes in class in preparation for first performances late this week or early next.
DRAMA 2
We'll start the week by completing your clown dance performances, and then we'll move on to your final clown exercises. I'll provide all the relevant details in class - just make sure you're bringing your red nose with you to class every day!
DRAMA 3
We'll finish work on your large group film/TV scenes at the start of the week, and then we'll move on to theater scenes. You'll have time in class to search for scenes (though please feel free to bring plays from home), and then you'll start rehearsing in class. Also, we'll screen your short films in class on Wednesday!
DRAMA 4
We'll start the week by (finally) completing your college research presentations. I suspect all presentations will be finished by Thursday, and then we'll move on to our work with "stretch material." You can expect a class discussion on Thursday in which we assign "types" for each of you, and then you'll spend the remainder of the week selecting/rehearsing your material. We will also be joined by a guest on Tuesday from DePaul University!
Have a great week, everybody!
