Here's a look at what we'll be doing in class this week:
DRAMA 1
On Monday and Tuesday we will complete first performances of your theater scenes. On Wednesday and Thursday, you will be allowed rehearsal time to incorporate notes and direction from your first presentations. On Friday we will begin the individual scene coaching process, which will carry us through next week.
DRAMA 2
Now that you've completed your final children's theater performance (great job, everyone!) we'll spend some time moving back into clowning. We'll start the week by going through some more of our basic exercises in class, and then you'll start preparing your clown dances! With rehearsal time on Tuesday and Wednesday (if necessary), we'll spend the remainder of the week seeing your performances. Don't forget to bring your clown noses!
DRAMA 3
On Monday and Tuesday we will meet with Mr. Sager's class to start putting the finishing touches on your films. You'll have time to finish shooting and begin the editing process. We will not be joined by Ms. Cook for a voice class this week, meaning that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we'll resume work on our film/TV scenes, so make sure you're ready to tape your scene those days if you haven't already!
DRAMA 4
On Monday and Tuesday we will complete final performances of all four of your class monologues. Once those performances are completed and with our massive college research project now also finished (thank you again for all of your hard work), we'll move on to writing monologues. First we'll have a musical theater master class on Wednesday with a guest artist currently playing the lead in a national tour. We'll then start our writing work with an introductory discussion of the writing process on Thursday, and then spend the remainder of the week writing, presenting and revising your monologues.
Good luck to all of our seniors auditioning at Wright State this weekend! Go get 'em!
