In anticipation of your pre-screen needs, Mr. Timmerman is making arrangements that will allow me to spend the school days of Monday, 10/12 and Tuesday, 10/13 taping those auditions for you. Members of the vocal faculty will also be made available to you to provide accompaniment (if applicable). This represents a tremendous opportunity for you to receive high quality video files at no expense to you, but before you attend one of these taping sessions it is imperative that you:
-Please make sure that your audition material is impeccably prepared. If you're performing monologues you should schedule coaching sessions with me, and if you're singing you should make every effort to work with your accompanist at his or her convenience.
-Please make sure that your audition material fits the requirements of your schools of interest. Different schools have different requirements/limitations in terms of monologue length and song length, and most schools provide specifications in terms of time period for your audition pieces. Some schools even require you to select a piece from a provided list. Be absolutely certain that we are taping the right material for your needs.
-Please double check and triple check the audition instructions. Pay close attention to time limits, framing instructions, whether or not the school requests a slate and whether or not the school would like the audition pieces in separate files or all-in-one. Please also observe any technical notes about file type, size limitations, etc.
