As I'm sure you know, school will be closed on Monday for Labor Day! Here's a look at what to expect during our slightly-shortened week.
DRAMA 1
On Tuesday we will review the footage from our latest scene and then move on to the next. We will continue shooting and reviewing scenes for the rest of the week. As always, if you have not yet taped your scene in class please make sure that you are arriving to class every day with two hard copies of your script and your scenes memorized and blocked.
DRAMA 2
This week will be devoted to developing your children's theater pieces. During the early part of the week you'll have time to put together your rough draft, and then you'll start rehearsing. Late in the week you'll present your rough drafts in class (performing rather than reading, but you may be on-book) and the class and I will provide commentary for potential re-writes. The one exception to this schedule will be Friday in 4th block, when those students will have a master class with a guest instructor (you may wish to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
DRAMA 4
On Tuesday and Wednesday I will be working with Drama 3 on college audition monologues, so Mr. Adams will be working with you those two days. The work he has planned for you is movement-oriented, so you may wish to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes those days. On Thursday and Friday you'll be presenting the second round of our college research project, so make sure you are prepared to present your second school by Thursday.
Have a great week, everybody, and enjoy the long weekend!
