Hope that by the time you read this you've all had a fantastic prom weekend!
Here's a quick look at what we'll be doing in class in the coming week:
INTRO:
As I'm sure you've gathered, it is taking us a good deal longer than expected to get through our first round of monologue performances. Fortunately, however, we have the time for it, and I'm pleased that we are offering so much useful commentary in class - I think it'll help the quality of final performances in the long run. We'll continue first performances through the early part of this week and will begin coaching sessions once all first performances have been completed. Since juries begin the following week, I will also give you class time on Friday to run your jury monologues with your classmates in groups. Additionally, if you have not yet turned in your script analysis assignment please get it to me ASAP because it is now VERY late!
DRAMA 3:
On Monday you will have voice class with Ms. Cook, per the new schedule. Tuesday and Wednesday will be devoted to rehearsal of your movement pieces, and then you will perform those pieces in class on Thursday and Friday. As always with this work, you will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day this week (unless you do no require them for your movement piece, but you will definitely need them for Ms. Cook's class).
Have a great week, everyone!
