Here's your weekly outline of what to expect in class this week:
INTRO:
With juries fast approaching (and much earlier in the year than usual) I will allow time in class on Monday and Tuesday to utilize the play books in my classroom to search for monologues. Please feel free to also bring in books from home or the library. We will also spend some time discussing monologue performance. On Wednesday and Thursday we will resume work on contact improvisation with text (using the text from your scenes) and then on Friday we will start work on movement pieces (details to follow in class). You will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes Wednesday-Friday.
DRAMA 3:
Monday and Tuesday will be devoted to shooting our next scene and reviewing the footage in class. On Wednesday you will have a master class with a new guest instructor. That class will be very physical in nature, so you will definitely want to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. One Thursday we'll shoot your one-line film/TV mock auditions and start reviewing the footage in class, and I suspect that work will spill over into Friday when we will "cast" the role via class vote. We will then start shooting our next scene.
Have a great week, everybody!
