As I'm sure you all know well, we will be out of school for the entire week of 2/15 for winter break! I hope you all have a fun, restful time away from school.
For those of you who'd like to look ahead at what we'll be doing when we return, I decided to go ahead and post the weekly outline in advance:
INTRO:
We will now move on from scene work into our voice and movement unit. We will start on Monday with an introduction to our vocal warm-up, as well as some of the initial voice exercises we'll be exploring. As the week goes on, I'll also introduce some basic movement exercises that will lead into some advanced work as we progress. The most important thing for you to keep in mind is that each and every day for the foreseeable future, you will need to bring/wear clothes in which you can comfortably move and/or lie on the floor.
DRAMA 3:
Having now devoted some time to mock film/TV auditioning, we will turn our attention back toward shooting your scenes in class. We'll start with a new scene on Monday and now that we're off and running with our process, we should be able to shoot the entire scene that day. We'll then review the footage and provide feedback on Tuesday and move on to our next scene. This will be our typical pattern for the entire week with the exception of Wednesday, when you'll have voice class with Ms. Cook (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day). As always, if you have not yet shot your scene in class please make sure that you have your lines memorized, your scenes blocked and that you arrive to class every day with two hard copies of your script.
Hope you have/had a wonderful break (depending on when you're reading this)!
