We're off and running with scene work in all classes at this point. Here's a look at the schedule for classes this week:
INTRO:
We will continue our individual coaching sessions in all periods throughout this week. Remember that if you have been struggling with line memorization you should be putting in plenty of study time at home, as the coaching process is tedious and requires you to be solid on your lines. I suspect it will take us the entire week to complete the process but if we finish by Friday and any groups are anxious to complete final performances, I will give you the opportunity to start early. Otherwise, you'll have rehearsal time during the early part of next week in preparation for final performances next Thursday and Friday.
DRAMA 3:
As you may recall, due to a scheduling conflict Ms. Cook will be joining us to lead a voice class on Monday instead of her usual Wednesday class, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes on Monday. On Tuesday we will kick off the class by reviewing the footage from the scene we shot on Friday, providing feedback. We will then continue shooting and reviewing scenes all the way through Friday. Remember that if you have not yet shot your scene in class you should have your lines memorized and your scenes blocked, and you should be arriving to class every day with two hard copies of your script. At the end of class on Friday I will provide you with material for a round of mock film/TV auditions.
Only two weeks until winter break! Let's put in some hard work now to make our vacation that much more enjoyable!
