Since our already-short first week of classes became even more abbreviated by the giant snow storm (tee hee), I hope you're all as ready as I am to hit the ground running on our first full week of the semester.
As promised, here is your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
SINCE THE ORGINAL POSTING OF THIS BLOG ENTRY, SCHOOL HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR MONDAY, 1/9 AND TUESDAY, 1/10 DUE TO ICY ROAD CONDITIONS. BELOW IS AN UPDATED SCHEDULE TO REFLECT THOSE CANCELLATIONS.
INTRO:
On Wednesday we will choose scene partners and search for scenes on Wednesday and Thursday. You are welcome to utilize the play books in my classroom but as we discussed, you should feel free to bring scripts with you to class. I will assist you in the scene selection process as much as needed, but I'd like to give you the opportunity to find something you're excited to perform. At the end of class on Thursday I will provide you with a written script analysis assignment to accompany your scene, and that will be due on Tuesday of next week. You will then spend Friday rehearsing with your partner.
DRAMA 3:
On Wednesday you will have a master class with Ms. Kajese, so you may want to come dressed to move. On Thursday we will further discuss on-camera styles and assign partners and styles, and then search for scenes for the remainder of class on Thursday and also on Friday. You will be allowed to use portable electronic devices (shocking, I know) to assist you in the scene selection process. At the end of class on Friday I will provide you with a written script analysis assignment to accompany your scene, and that will be due on Tuesday of next week.
Have a great week, everyone! Stay warm!
