DRAMA 1
On Monday we'll give notes on the two scenes we didn't get the see at the end of last week, and then you'll have the remainder of the period to rehearse. On Tuesday we will start final performances of your scenes, which will probably require the first portion of class on Wednesday to complete. We will then move on to working on monologues in conjunction with voice work, so as we discussed in class, please make sure you have a monologue memorized by Wednesday. You do not have to learn anything new - it can be a monologue you've used before.
DRAMA 2
On Monday we'll see the remaining first scene performances, and then we'll move on to individual coaching sessions. We'll be working on those sessions every day this week, working through scenes at a rate of about three per day. If you did not have your lines well-memorized for your first performances, please make sure you are studying and preparing.
DRAMA 3
We'll be covering a wide range of topics this week! On Monday we'll continue the movement exercises we've already begun, but at the end of that period I will assign your commercials, which you will perform in class on Tuesday. On Wednesday you will have voice class with Ms. Cook, and then on Thursday and Friday we will return to our movement work and you will begin preparing your silent theater pieces. You will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day this week except Tuesday.
DRAMA 4
Our individual scene coaching sessions will continue on Monday and conclude on Tuesday (with a special session in the Reece Theater!). After those sessions are completed, you'll have rehearsal time on Wednesday in anticipation of final performances on Thursday and Friday.
Have a great week, everyone!
