I hope you all had very happy holidays and a fun, restful break.
I'm very excited to get down to business on this semester. There are some of you I haven't had the opportunity to teach since last school year and I'm looking forward to having you back in class. Others I have never taught before and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you.
This will be a very short first week of classes with only two days of class meetings, but I wanted to go ahead and give you a quick overview of what to expect:
INTRO:
On Thursday we'll spend a little time on student introductions (many of you are switching to new class periods and may not know all of your classmates) and we'll also discuss policies and procedures for the class. On Friday we'll launch right into some exercises that address a character's given circumstances, and these exercises will lay the foundation for some upcoming scene work!
DRAMA 3:
Welcome back to the white box! We'll spend a little time on Thursday getting caught up and reviewing policies and procedures, but then we'll jump right into our film/TV work for the rest of the period on Thursday and also on Friday! We'll discuss styles and the type of scene work we'll be doing this semester, and then there should be time for you to start looking for scenes.
Can't wait to see you all! Looking forward to a great semester!
