DRAMA 1
We'll finish our in-class coaching sessions of your scenes on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday you'll be allowed rehearsal time to incorporate the notes you've received in your coaching sessions. On Friday we'll start running our "show," performing all of the scenes back-to-back and providing feedback after all scenes have been performed. Remember that at this point, all students should have their lines completely memorized.
DRAMA 2
On Monday we will listen to any final revisions of your monologues and then you will have the remainder of the period to rehearse. We'll see performances of your monologues Tuesday-Thursday as we stop to provide feedback and to discuss the actor-writer collaboration process with each monologue. On Friday we will move on and start discussing scene work!
DRAMA 3
On Monday we'll catch up on reviewing footage from previous scenes, and we'll also start shooting our next film/TV scene. We'll finish that scene on Tuesday and will review that footage as well. On Wednesday you'll have voice class with Ms. Cook, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. On Thursday we'll meet with Mr. Sager's class to review your films, and then Friday will be our film festival! We'll be screening all of your films for an invited audience. Remember that your finished films should be delivered to me in .mov format on a flash drive by Monday morning of this week!
DRAMA 4
On Monday we'll continue watching performances of the monologues you've written. I suspect that work will spill over into Tuesday, and then the remainder of the week will be devoted to your "stretch material" scenes. We'll review the scenes you've selected and then start rehearsing. The goal will be to start seeing first performances the following week.
Good luck to all of our students auditioning at the county level for GHP this week!
Have a great week, everyone!
