DRAMA 1
The bulk of this week will be devoted to our in-class coaching sessions for your theater scenes. We got off to a very good start on Friday - the class was focused and offering helpful feedback - so let's keep it up. At a rate of two or three scenes per day I suspect this work will take us into Thursday of this week. You will then have Friday as a rehearsal day to apply the concepts and adjustments we discuss during these coaching sessions.
DRAMA 2
On Monday you will be allowed time in class to work on the first drafts of the monologues you're writing, and we will also see our one remaining "clown dance" performance. On Tuesday we'll start reviewing your first drafts and making revisions, and that work will continue on Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday you will be able to rehearse your monologues in preparation for first performances the following week.
DRAMA 3
On Monday we will review the footage from our last two film/TV scenes and provide feedback, and then we'll start shooting our next scene. We'll finish shooting that scene on Tuesday and then review that footage as well. On Wednesday Ms. Cook will be back to lead a voice class, so please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day. On Thursday and Friday you will complete work on your short films for our PBL with Ms. Sager's class. Don't forget that your finished films are due this Friday!
DRAMA 4
Your first drafts of your monologues are due on Monday, so we'll finish reviewing those first drafts that day and discuss revisions you may need to make. On Tuesday and Wednesday you will be able to rehearse your monologues in class in preparation for first performances on Thursday. On Friday you will be allowed time to start selecting your "stretch" material - material which goes against your type and/or is outside of your comfort zone. We'll discuss the type of material you'll be looking for this week in class.
Have a great week, everyone!
