Here is your weekly outline of what to expect in class:
DRAMA 1:
We will continue with our movement and voice work every day this week. We'll keep revisiting contact improvisation while also layering in some voice work. Remember that you will need to use the text from your theater scenes for this work, so you may want to refresh your memory on your lines. Remember, too, that you will need to bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day.
DRAMA 2:
We will start on Monday by putting finishing touches on first drafts of your student-written monologues and reviewing drafts in class. You will then be allowed rehearsal time on Tuesday and Wednesday in order for us to start seeing first performances on Thursday and Friday. The one exception to this schedule will be Wednesday in 2nd block, when you have a master class with Ms. Fischer (please bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes that day).
DRAMA 4:
We may have a very few remaining college research presentations to see on Monday, but we will then continue with to the personalization exercise we started on Friday. I have selected scenes for each of you that you will read sight unseen in class as I coach you through the exercise. After working through the exercise with you on Monday-Wednesday, I will then turn you loose to start rehearsing your scenes with your partner. First performances will take place early in the week after Thanksgiving.
I hope you all have a wonderful break and a very happy Thanksgiving!
