First, I'd like to say how impressed I was by the CCCEPA production of The Drowsy Chaperone! I think this was one of the finest performances I've seen in my four years of teaching at PHS. Great job, everybody involved!
We're nearing the finish line, folks. We have only two full weeks of classes before the end of the school year, and I have a lot planned for us. Here's what to expect this week:
INTRO:
We'll start the week by finishing individual coaching sessions for your monologues. Once those are completed, you'll have one class period for in-class rehearsal to incorporate the notes from your coaching. We will then see final performances of monologues in class.
DRAMA 3:
On Monday we'll begin work on movement pieces. You'll be assigned a topic and allowed time to choose your groups and start working. You'll continue rehearsing your pieces on Tuesday and then we'll start performances on Wednesday. Once we've seen all of the movement pieces we'll move on to voice work. You should bring/wear comfortable dress out clothes every day this week (especially for the voice work).
The spring dance concert is this weekend! Performances are Friday and Saturday night in the Reece Theatre! Don't miss it!
Have a great week, everybody!
